Concealed ceiling TV
One of the most popular solutions for integrating a concealed TV in a discreet and refined way is ceiling installation. At Sea & Symphony, we have developed several concealed tilting systems designed to make the TV disappear completely into the ceiling.
A particularly popular variant of our ceiling-mounted retractable systems is the one equipped with a rotating mechanism. Thanks to the servo-assisted rotation, the television can be oriented at different angles, allowing optimal viewing from multiple points in the room with a single device. This makes the system extremely versatile, especially in open-plan environments or living rooms with complex geometries.
Our ceiling-mounted TV solutions have established themselves not only in private residences and luxury hotels, but also in the nautical sector, where space is limited and must be exploited to the full. Many superyacht and luxury cruise ship builders have chosen our tilting systems, confirming that technological integration can take place without compromising style.
For contexts where a particularly compact system is required, we offer the BS Covered series: a line in which the cover box becomes an integral part of the mechanism itself. The result is a self-supporting, ready-to-install system designed to simplify assembly and reduce integration times. Just 120 mm of ceiling depth is enough to accommodate a TV up to 65″.
Our tilting systems are perfect for both small spaces, where every centimetre counts, and large spaces, where it is often difficult to find the right balance between furniture layout and screen position. In both cases, the TV disappears into the ceiling, avoiding the need to use a wall as a screen location and preserving the overall aesthetics.
TV concealed in the wall
The second case we look at in this article is that of a TV concealed in the wall. The mechanisms in the ‘Wall’ line are designed specifically to integrate the television into the wall, transforming an often unused surface into a real design resource.
The most compact model weighs only 28 kg and has a load capacity of up to 55 kg, allowing the installation of TVs up to 32‘. The catalogue also includes a version for screens up to 55’, with a total weight of just two kilos more. For sizes larger than 60″, we create customised systems tailored to the specific needs of the customer.
Our “Wall” system adapts perfectly to different space and design requirements, allowing you to have a clean and tidy surface without compromising on image quality or ease of use. This solution is particularly popular in residential settings, but also in the nautical sector, where space optimisation and attention to detail are essential. Walls thus become living elements, capable of completely concealing the television thanks to our ‘Wall’ system.
The ‘Wall’ system is particularly versatile: it can be installed above a fireplace, in an existing niche or even inside panelling. Choosing a TV that can be concealed in the wall means adding value to the environment without compromising on technology, which remains available but without ever being intrusive.
TV concealed in furniture
For those who prefer to integrate the television into furniture, we offer systems that can conceal the TV inside cabinets.
In these cases, the most common solution is to install an electric lift inside a custom-designed piece of furniture. We collaborate with furniture makers, carpenters, architects and skilled craftsmen, who rely on the strength and durability of our systems to add that touch of magic to their creations.
All our built-in TV lifts are equipped with electronics that can interact with the main home automation systems, integrating perfectly with the increasing automation of domestic environments. Available in the catalogue for screens from 32 to 60 inches, while those over 65 inches are made to measure.
Among the various TV lifts, the product that best reflects and exemplifies our expertise is the “Alzo Zero” system: an ultra-compact TV lift that allows large TVs to be installed even in low-height furniture.
Its unique feature is its double stroke, which allows it to offer the same range of movement as a standard lift but with a reduced height and a slightly greater depth. Versions with manual or servo-assisted rotation are available.
The ‘Alzo Zero’ is now in its fifth generation, featuring even smaller dimensions. Compared to the previous 4G version, the 5G is slimmer and requires less depth, thus freeing up valuable space inside the cabinet.
For a 55″ TV, while the fourth-generation products required a depth of 214 mm, with the new version it is possible to install the system in just 157 mm. This evolution has been made possible by advances in screen technology, which are now increasingly lighter and thinner.
Since 1995, the year the company was founded, we have witnessed the evolution of the television first-hand. At the end of the 1990s, with the end of the era of cathode ray tube televisions and the advent of flat screens, we recognised the need for new solutions to integrate televisions into domestic environments, thus giving rise to this product line, which we have constantly developed to reflect the evolution of the TV (LCD, Plasma, LED, OLED, Micro LED).
This solution is ideal for those who want to hide their television in a discreet and functional way, maintaining a clean and tidy aesthetic, whether in kitchen islands, sideboards or low living room furniture.
In addition to vertical lift systems, we also offer flip-up mechanisms, in which the screen lifts up from a horizontal surface to become visible. This is a variation of flip-down systems, in which the screen descends from the ceiling, but with an opposite rotation movement.
These retractable TV holders are particularly suitable for installation in furniture, tables or other horizontal surfaces, representing an effective alternative when it is not possible to integrate a traditional vertical TV lift into the furniture.
